# Custom Sender ID in Sri Lanka

## What a Sender ID is

It is the name or number the handset shows as the sender. Alphanumeric IDs (your brand) must be registered with operators. Random numbers look like spam and hurt OTP trust.

## How long it takes

On VeloBotix, Sender ID registration is typically approved in 1–2 business days. Use the same ID for OTP and campaigns so customers learn the name.
