An SMS gateway is the infrastructure that connects your organisation to mobile networks. In Sri Lanka that means routing through operators such as Dialog, Mobitel, Hutch, Airtel and Lanka Bell, plus Sender ID and delivery status.
What is an SMS API?
An SMS API is how software talks to the gateway over HTTP. Your backend authenticates and requests sends (single, bulk or balance checks). Humans can skip the API and use the portal for campaigns.
