Transactional SMS
Transactional SMS that your product can trust
Transactional SMS is a message triggered by a user action or system event — not a marketing blast. Examples: order placed, payment received, password reset, delivery out for drop.
Why transactional traffic is different
These messages are expected. Latency and delivery rate matter more than creative copy. VeloBotix routes them on the same direct operator paths as OTP.
Trigger them from your backend via the SMS API the moment the event happens.
Typical triggers
E-commerce checkout and shipping, bank and wallet alerts, school attendance, clinic appointments, hotel bookings, and logistics checkpoints.
Pair with webhooks if your ops tools need delivery confirmation in Slack or a ticket system.
Questions people ask
- Is transactional SMS the same as bulk SMS?
- No. Bulk is one-to-many campaigns. Transactional is one-to-one (or few) messages fired by software when something happens.
- Can I use a brand Sender ID?
- Yes. Custom Sender ID is available on plans and is recommended so customers recognise the alert.
