Developer SMS API
SMS API for apps, websites and backends
VeloBotix provides reliable SMS API services in Sri Lanka. The REST API sends OTP, transactional and bulk SMS over local Dialog, Mobitel, Hutch, Airtel and Lanka Bell routes using HTTP Basic Auth. Starting from LKR 0.50 per SMS with no monthly commitment.
How the API works
Authenticate with Basic Auth (account email + API key). Call portal.velobotix.app endpoints for SEND_SINGLE, SEND_BULK_SAME, SEND_BULK_DIFFERENT and CHECK_BALANCE. Local numbers can use 07XXXXXXXX format.
No OAuth dance is required. Most teams send a first test SMS in under 30 minutes.
What you can send
OTP and 2FA codes, order and shipping alerts, appointment reminders, and marketing campaigns. Bulk same supports large number lists; bulk different supports per-recipient text.
Optional cost preview is available before a bulk send so finance teams are not surprised.
Languages and stacks
Use any HTTP client. We publish integration notes for PHP, Node.js, Python, Laravel, WordPress and WooCommerce. Webhooks can push delivery events into your own systems.
