What VeloBotix is

VeloBotix is a Sri Lankan SMS gateway and SMS API platform that enables businesses and developers to send transactional, OTP, bulk and application-generated SMS messages.

This documentation covers the public customer REST API at the portal base URL. You call one endpoint and select the action with the FUN query parameter.

Prerequisites

Create an account at the VeloBotix portal and copy your API key from the account settings.

Register or use an approved Sender ID for your account.

Have a Sri Lanka mobile number in local format 07XXXXXXXX for test sends.

All requests go to https://portal.velobotix.app/api.php. Append ?FUN=… to choose the action.

Send your first SMS

Authenticate with HTTP Basic Auth (email as username, API key as password), then POST JSON with senderID, to, and msg.

No. The API is plain HTTP. Use curl, fetch, or any HTTP client.
