OTP SMS
Pattern
Generate and store the OTP in your application. Call SEND_SINGLE with a short message that includes the code and expiry hint.
Use an approved Sender ID so users recognise the brand.
Example
POST SEND_SINGLE with a typical OTP body:
curl -X POST \
"https://portal.velobotix.app/api.php?FUN=SEND_SINGLE" \
-u "YOUR_EMAIL:YOUR_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"senderID": "VeloBotix",
"to": "0701234567",
"msg": "Your OTP is 483920. Valid for 5 minutes."
}'Operational notes
Keep OTP generation, rate limiting of login attempts, and expiry logic in your own service.
Delivery receipts may be available depending on your plan — see Delivery reports.
FAQ
- Is there a dedicated OTP endpoint?
- No separate OTP FUN. Use SEND_SINGLE (or bulk helpers if you batch) and build OTP logic in your app.
